The Office of Small and Disadvantaged Small Business Utilization (OSDBU) works with industry partners, the acquisition corps, and program offices to maximize prime and subcontracting opportunities for U.S. Small Businesses. Our efforts help maintain a viable and innovative industrial base, promote worldwide economic development, and support mission-critical functions for every bureau within the Department of State.
Domestically, the Department consists of bureaus and offices responsible for handling various acquisitions. When marketing to the U.S. Department of State it is vital you market your services to the correct bureau. Anna Urman is a leading research analyst specializing in government procurement policy and market analysis. She supports the US Department of State OSDBU in meeting and exceeding its small and set-aside business goals, assisting vendors, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Anna has successfully managed and contributed to custom research efforts for Fortune 50 Corporations, small businesses, and federal agencies. The insight gained through Anna’s research enabled her clients to anticipate and stay abreast of regulatory and legislative changes that would affect the government contractor community.
Anna has extensive primary research experience both qualitative – subject matter expert interviews, as well as quantitative surveys, statistical analysis.
Anna is the former Director of the Virginia Procurement Technical Assistance Center (Virginia PTAC), and the South Fairfax Small Business Development Center – both federal grant-sponsored programs of George Mason University.
