Six-part Financial Series for Small Business Owners

Small business owners may be well versed in the technical and procedural aspects of their businesses; however, they often lack sufficient knowledge of the financial aspects of their businesses. HubZones? What is it and how to get certified 03-14-24

  • The American Small Business Chamber of Commerce (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

The HUBZone program fuels small business growth in historically underutilized business zones with a goal of awarding at least three percent of federal contract dollars to HUBZone-certified companies each year.

The federal government limits competition for certain contracts to businesses in historically underutilized business zones. It also gives preferential consideration to those businesses in full and open competition.

Joining the HUBZone program makes your business eligible to compete for the program’s set-aside contracts. HUBZone-certified businesses also get a 10 percent price evaluation preference in full and open contract competitions.

HUBZone-certified businesses can still compete for contract awards under other socio-economic programs they qualify for.

Join us to learn about each of these socio-economic programs and determine which opportunities may be right for your business.
