Ms. Davis is Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Office of Small & Disadvantaged Business Utilization’s (OSDBU) MentorProtégé Program Manager guiding large and small businesses interested in developing a mentor-protégé relationship with DHS. Concurrently, with her duty as Mentor-Protégé Program Manager, Sharon is the OSDBU’s Events Coordinator managing
conference, outreach events, and Liaison to the Office of Chief Procurement Officer’s communications team. She counsels small businesses interested in doing business with the DHS nationwide through participating in various activities sponsored by government agencies, congressional members, and trade associations. Ms. Davis came to work for DHS-OSDBU in late 2009 from the U.S. Department of Treasury (Office of Thrift Supervision), where she held a dual position as a Small Business Specialist and Contracting Officer. Before working at Treasury, Ms. Davis worked for Federal Emergency Management Agency as a Contract Specialist and Procurement Analyst. Ms. Davis has over 20 years of federal government procurement experience maintaining her FAC-C Level III Certification in Contracting and more than three decades of federal-civilian service. She is a firm believer in promoting opportunities for small businesses.
Sharon has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Bowie State University and a master’s degree from the Maryland University of Integrative Health, serving her community as a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach.
